Aletheia Teague

Aletheia Teague is a freelance organist in the Los Angeles, Orange County area. She is a student of Mr. David Ball - Organist and Assistant Director of Music at Christ Cathedral (formerly Crystal Cathedral) of Garden Grove, CA – and is privileged to be a Cathedral Organ Scholar. In addition to her musical studies, Ms Teague holds positions at Messiah Lutheran Church in Downey, CA, where she has been the organist since 2012, and Christ Reformed Church in Anaheim, CA where she has held a part time position since 2016.

Ms. Teague grew up in Orange County, beginning piano lessons at age 5 with her mom and later discovering the organ through attendance at the former Crystal Cathedral with her family. After moving to her now home church, Christ Reformed Church of Anaheim, she was given the opportunity to try out the organ and later to be able to use it as a regular practice instrument. She was primarily self-taught from the ages of 11 - 15 until finding a steady organ teacher in 2014.

Aletheia’s former instructors have included Dr. Pamela Compton and Mrs. Esther Jones.

In addition to having been a featured solo recitalist as part of the Midweek Series at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Orange, Ms Teague enjoys many performance opportunities both as an accompanist for various ensembles throughout Orange County and as a solo performer. She has been privileged to participate in masterclasses with Steven Tharp, Simon Johnson, Michael Burkhardt, and Dr Tom Mueller.

Ms Teague has been the recipient of several study grants within local chapters of the AGO and has performed in the Long Beach and Orange County American Guild of Organists’ Yearly Study Grant recitals from 2014-2018.
