Melody Jan, born and raised in Southern California, recently graduated magna cum laude from University of California, Los Angeles (’18), where she studied with Dr. Christoph Bull. She was a winner of UCLA Philharmonia’s All-Star competition and performed as a soloist at Royce Hall in 2017. She currently serves as Organ Scholar at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles, where she gets to work with a magnificent beast of an organ.
As a high schooler, she was awarded an Honorable Mention by the Young Arts National Foundation and had the wonderful opportunity of performing with the LACHSA Symphony at Walt Disney Concert Hall. She loves to worship through sacred music and considers it a privilege to have served at various churches in Los Angeles County, including Rock of the Foothills, Christ First Baptist, and St. James Presbyterian.
